102353 – Semi-Senior DataOps Support Engineer
Summary
We are seeking a Semi-Senior DataOps Support Engineer to provide first-level support for data pipelines and related infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring timely, accurate delivery of data to stakeholders and maintaining the stability of data workflows.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with data engineering teams, contribute to CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps and Git, and improve operational processes through documentation, testing, and participation in Agile ceremonies.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for data pipelines and infrastructure, triaging and resolving incidents or escalating as needed
- Monitor and maintain data workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to stakeholders
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data needs and troubleshoot pipeline issues
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data operations using Azure DevOps and Git
- Build, run, and execute deployment processes following enterprise best practices
- Write and maintain unit-tested, maintainable code in SQL, Python, and Spark for support tasks and fixes
- Document support procedures and create knowledge base articles for recurring issues
- Participate reliably in Agile ceremonies and improve estimation accuracy for user stories and tasks
- Proactively suggest improvements and introduce ideas to improve team practices and outcomes
- Seek to understand business requirements and processes to inform technical support decisions
Requirements
- Experience providing first-level support for data pipelines and infrastructure
- Practical experience monitoring and maintaining data workflows to meet delivery SLAs
- Familiarity implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark with ability to produce unit-tested, maintainable code
- Experience running and executing CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices in an enterprise environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to escalate appropriately
- Effective communicator who collaborates with engineering teams and stakeholders
- Comfortable contributing in Agile teams and improving estimation and delivery practices
