Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our dynamic team and lead Agile transformation initiatives within our software modernization projects. This role is pivotal in facilitating the Scrum process, ensuring strict adherence to Agile principles, and driving collaboration across engineering, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in overseeing the design and implementation of REST API bridges on Azure, enabling seamless interoperability during migration efforts. This position demands a proactive leader who can remove impediments, foster communication, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality features, while continuously improving team performance and product outcomes.
Responsibilities
As the Scrum Master, you will be the Agile champion and servant leader for your team, responsible for:
- Facilitating all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring the team adheres to Agile methodologies and Scrum best practices, promoting a culture of transparency, accountability, and high performance.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to define clear, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria that align with business goals.
- Driving prioritization and refinement of the product backlog in partnership with Product Owners and stakeholders to maximize value delivery.
- Overseeing the design and implementation of REST API bridges on Azure Cloud to support seamless interoperability during complex migration projects.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying and resolving blockers or impediments that could impact delivery timelines.
- Facilitating communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and shared understanding.
- Defining and tracking success metrics and KPIs to measure team performance, product quality, and delivery effectiveness.
- Supporting the entire product lifecycle from ideation through deployment and iteration, ensuring continuous delivery and improvement.
- Coaching teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices to foster a culture of agility and innovation.
- Managing risks and dependencies, escalating issues as necessary to maintain project momentum.
- Encouraging a collaborative and inclusive team environment that supports professional growth and high morale.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role, preferably in software modernization projects.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices.
- Experience working with .NET frameworks and Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with API management platforms, API gateways, and microservices architecture.
- Strong technical background to engage with engineers on architectural decisions.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Certification in Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, etc.) is a plus.
