Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst Data to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is essential in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Power BI, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse design to create detailed, insightful reports and collaborate closely with IT teams to build robust data solutions. This position demands a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that data initiatives align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and deliver comprehensive and insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Collaborate closely with IT and data engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize data warehouses that meet business requirements, focusing on accurate dimensions and measures.
• Translate complex business needs and data sets into clear technical specifications and actionable insights.
• Lead the analysis of data sources, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and quality throughout ETL processes.
• Drive the development and maintenance of data models that support efficient reporting and analytics.
• Work cross-functionally with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, tailoring communication to diverse stakeholders.
• Monitor and evaluate existing reporting solutions, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Support data governance and compliance initiatives by ensuring data security and privacy standards are upheld.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis practices within the team.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• Power BI: Expertise in creating interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports that provide actionable business insights. Ability to leverage Power BI’s advanced features such as DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Data Modeling: Strong experience in designing logical and physical data models that optimize data storage, retrieval, and analysis. Ability to create star and snowflake schemas tailored to business needs.
• ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Proficient in designing and managing ETL workflows to extract data from multiple sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into data warehouses efficiently and accurately.
• Database Management: Solid understanding of database concepts, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning to ensure reliable and scalable data storage.
• SQL: Advanced skills in SQL for querying, manipulating, and analyzing data across relational databases. Ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and optimize SQL code for performance.
• Data Warehouse Design: Experience in architecting data warehouses that support business intelligence and analytics, including dimension and fact table design, data integration, and historical data management.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze large and complex data sets, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and translate these into meaningful business insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively gather requirements, present findings, and collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Azure: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics, to support cloud-based data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Google Cloud: Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery for scalable data warehousing and analytics.
• BigQuery: Knowledge of Google BigQuery for managing and querying large datasets efficiently in a cloud environment.
• PostgreSQL: Experience working with PostgreSQL databases, including advanced SQL features, performance tuning, and extensions.
• Oracle: Understanding of Oracle database systems, including PL/SQL programming, database administration, and integration with BI tools.
