Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business leadership and technical teams, ensuring that business objectives are accurately translated into effective, user-centered solutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in eliciting, documenting, and validating business and user requirements, developing functional specifications, and collaborating closely with stakeholders and development teams. This position demands a strong understanding of user experience design principles and agile methodologies, enabling the delivery of high-quality web-based applications aligned with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to elicit comprehensive business and user requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis.
- Documenting detailed and clear business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows that translate complex needs into actionable development tasks.
- Designing user-focused solutions by applying user experience design principles, including wireframing, storyboarding, and user interface design, to ensure intuitive and effective application workflows.
- Working closely with development teams to ensure alignment between business goals and technical implementation, facilitating smooth communication and understanding across departments.
- Utilizing Agile methodologies to manage requirements and project progress, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions.
- Leveraging Azure DevOps to track requirements, manage user stories, and coordinate development activities.
- Presenting findings, recommendations, and project updates clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
- Continuously analyzing and improving business processes to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Acting as a liaison between business units and technical teams to resolve issues, clarify requirements, and ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Expertise in gathering detailed business and user requirements through various techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and document analysis. Ability to engage stakeholders effectively to uncover implicit and explicit needs.
- Proficiency in creating clear, comprehensive, and well-structured documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows that serve as a foundation for development and testing.
- Strong analytical skills to assess business processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals. Experience in modeling business processes and workflows to optimize operations.
- Deep understanding of UX principles to ensure that solutions are user-centric, accessible, and intuitive. Ability to advocate for the end-user throughout the project lifecycle.
- Skilled in creating wireframes that visually represent the structure and layout of user interfaces, facilitating early feedback and iterative design improvements.
- Ability to develop storyboards that illustrate user interactions and workflows, helping stakeholders visualize the user journey and system behavior.
- Familiarity with UI design concepts and best practices to collaborate effectively with designers and developers, ensuring the final product meets usability standards.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for managing requirements, tracking work items, and supporting Agile project management processes.
- Proficient in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, with experience participating in or leading Agile ceremonies and adapting to iterative development cycles.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including executives, technical teams, and end-users.
- Understanding of front-end technologies and design principles to effectively collaborate with development teams using frameworks like Angular, React, or jQuery, ensuring that business requirements translate into high-quality web applications.
