Summary
We are seeking a semi-senior DataOps Support Engineer to provide first-level support for data pipelines and operations. This role ensures timely, accurate delivery of data by monitoring workflows, resolving incidents, and maintaining CI/CD processes for data deployments.
The position is important for maintaining reliable data delivery to stakeholders and improving how the team operates. You will work closely with data engineering teams, contribute to support documentation, and introduce improvements that increase stability and delivery velocity using Azure DevOps and Git.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for data pipelines and infrastructure, resolve issues, and escalate as needed.
- Monitor and maintain data workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot data issues in collaboration with data engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data operations using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Build and maintain unit-tested, maintainable code for data processing in SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Execute deployment best practices and run CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise environment.
- Document support procedures and contribute knowledge base articles for recurring issues.
- Participate reliably in Agile ceremonies and improve accuracy in estimating user stories and tasks.
- Propose and influence process or tooling improvements that demonstrate a growth mindset.
Requirements
- Experience providing first-level support for data pipelines and data infrastructure.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Basic to intermediate programming skills in SQL, Python, and Spark with focus on writing unit-tested, maintainable code.
- Experience running and executing CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise system.
- Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain data workflows to meet delivery SLAs.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with data engineering teams and understand business requirements.
- Familiarity with Agile processes and consistent participation in Agile ceremonies.
- Good documentation skills and experience contributing to a knowledge base.
- Growth mindset with willingness to introduce improvements and influence team practices.
